https://www.keefelaw.com When applying for disability benefits, many people filing claims have the same questions.  Since Keefe Disability Law typically hears the same questions from clients about the social security process, we want to give you the answers in this video clip.

The most common question our Massachusetts disability lawyers hear from people is why Social Security does not update them frequently on their application status. In our experience, SSA does tell you what is going on in your case, but because the cases take so long, you may think that nothing is happening with your case. However, SSA will contact you when they either tell you when they need more information from you, when they deny your claim, and when you have two months to appeal a denial. When you are not hearing from Social Security about your SSI or SSDI claim, remember that the claims process for disability benefits can sometimes take over two years.
