As an attorney with Keefe Disability Law, Lisa Cahan has worked tirelessly to help disabled residents in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Rhode Island collect Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits. Lisa enjoys digging into her clients' medical issues to fully understand and convey how the medical diagnoses actually limit her clients in a material way.

Lisa earned her Juris Doctor law degree in 2009, Cum Laude, from Suffolk University Law School in Boston. During law school, she spent two years as a member and then Note Editor for The Journal of Health and Biomedical Law. She wrote a journal article entitled "Constitutional Protections of Aliens: A Call for Action to Provide Adequate Health Care for Immigration Detainees," published in 2008.

Lisa has worked at two Boston law firms writing briefs, motions, and memoranda of law on various legal issues. She also interned at the Boston Immigration Court.

Before law school, Lisa worked at a Washington D.C. law firm that assisted clients with family and employment based immigration applications and petitions.

Lisa attended The George Washington University in Washington D.C. where she majored in Psychology and received her Bachelors Degree, Cum Laude, in 2005. During college she founded The George Washington University Suicide Prevention Action Network (GW-SPAN). She grew up in Massachusetts and graduated from Noble and Greenough School in Dedham.

In 2010, Lisa successfully ran the Boston Marathon, and she continues to enter more manageable races. She also enjoys international travel and the culinary arts.
